Banasura Sagar Dam
One of the most important places to explore in Wayanad, Banasura Sagar Dam is a picturesque tourist hotspot. Situated about 35 KM from the hotel, Banasura Sagar Dam is known for being India’s largest earthen dam, was constructed in 1979, is built across the Karamanathodu tributary of the Kabani River. Banasura dam is made up of massive stacks of stones and boulders.

edakkal caves
Edakkal caves are one of the prime tourist places to visit in Wayanad. The caves are two natural formations that are believed to have been formed by a large split in a huge rock. Thus, they have been called Edakkal, meaning a stone in between. Situated just about 10 KM from the hotel, the Edakkal Caves are famous for their ancient paintings and are believed to date back to ancient times.
Kuruva Island

Situated about 40 KM from the hotel, Pethia pookodensis, a type of fish is believed to be found only in the Pookode Lake in India.
